Staff Engineer, Embedded Software
Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our customer-facing solutions team that supports a broad range of industry leading high-performance linear solutions and standard products in end applications such as industrial automation, instrumentation, automotive, and communication systems, with a focus on robotics systems.
The Software Engineer is responsible for developing embedded device drivers, middleware, and applications interfacing our products to various embedded processors including FPGAs. As part of a cross functional team, the Software Engineer performs definition, development, implementation, and documentation of the software modules, and provides technical support for our global customers.
Responsibilities include:
- Architect, create and maintain Linux, Zephyr, and bare-metal device drivers and software projects for embedded systems, processors, and microcontroller-based platforms
- Develop robotics related applications for AMRs and humanoids using industry standard frameworks such as ROS2
- Integrate AI models into data processing and control flows on various high-performance compute platforms such as GPUs and heterogeneous SoCs
- Provide customer support directly or through the ADI Engineer Zone forum
Essential Skills and Competencies:
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE) or Computer Science (CS) with minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in the design, implementation, and support of embedded software
- Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software development languages, including but not limited to C, C++, Python, and shell scripting.
- Experience with frameworks and tools such as ROS2, CUDA, TensorFlow, ONNX
- Experience with embedded Linux and RTOS systems
- Experience with SCM (svn, git), cross compiler and in-circuit debugging tools
- Excellent software design, problem solving and analytical debugging skills
- Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems
- Ability to comprehend large and complex technical documentation.
